ALGRUMI NEL MEZZO

As a tribute to the very first identified botanical garden in Padua, Italy, I designed an Italian cafe to be stationed within Kew Gardens. The cafe will feature plants grown in the garden for medicinal purposes and educative resources and plaques on the history of this botanical garden's origins. Overall, the cafe will feature prominent Italian design features over the years, and its menu will include unique recipes from the all-time favorite Italian fruit, lemon. The cafe aims to sell drinks and food made from high-end produce in a principally Italian atmosphere in the middle of rich and diverse plant and tree life.

HUMMINGBIRD DAYCARE

The poverty rate is rising daily due to inflation in the UK. More children than ever suffer today. Hummingbird Daycare is located in the most deprived area in England. Tower Hamlet is the home for 47.5% of the poorest children in the country. The daycare will help this county by bringing it safety and income. The 4-story Hummingbird Daycare building has been renovated from its old building before into a modern and sustainable daycare, using concrete and wood. Two materials which are easy to maintain and timeless. The Steiner Education and Montessori approach has inspired the nursery structure, using natural light, patterns and shapes, self-play and built-in furniture. Children use their imagination and fantasies to create a world with the light colours they are surrounded with.
